“The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.”
(Isa 17:1)

Does this mean that Damascus is soon to be leveled? As far as I can tell, it has been in continuous existence since Abraham’s time or before.–Gen.14:15. If in fact it has never been demolished this would appear to me to be yet future. Events in the region would suggest that such an occurrence could easily take place in our times.
